How can creativity and expression be a part of counseling?

We all find creative and expressive inspiration through various forms – whether it be visual arts, music, dance or play. Our imagination takes us to another level, be that more on the ground or soaring through the atmosphere.

What one may find healing may be different for another. Creativity and expressive arts enables us to channel into an inner wisdom which engages our self-belief. Believing in ourselves creates healing.

When we engage in creative expression we are linking various parts of our mind and body to process issues or trauma into healing. This may take more practice for some than others.
